Clinical diet and nutrition, also called therapeutic nutrition, has become an increasingly important component of integrated health care systems.

NUTRITION COUNSULTING

(WEIGHT LOSS)

Nutrition Consulting aims to develop a good relationship with food, body and health. It offers support to people who follow a Nutrition Program and are called upon to change their lifestyle in order to regain control of their diet and body.

It is provided in collaboration with the Dietitian-Nutritionist or Physician who is solely responsible for the Nutrition Program of the person concerned and in no way replaces their own role. Nutrition Counseling is not a means to lose weight.

 

The process:

  • Evaluation of the problem and design of an individual intervention program.

  • Recording of eating habits-patterns and identifying the factors that activate and maintain them (e.g. emotional, social factors).

  • Integration of the Nutrition Program in daily needs and activities.

  • Development of a healthy relationship with the body and diet.

  • Managing stress and discomfort.

  • Development of the characteristics and skills of the person that strengthen self-confidence and self-esteem.
